Eddi Bal is an Amsterdam based filmmaker and video artist. He has studied fine arts at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht and theatre and postmodern dance at Amsterdam University of the Arts. His work originates at the intersection of contemporary art, dance, film and video. Diversity and gender are recurring themes.

He has made theatre pieces, short films, music videos, documentaries, vj shows and video installations, including commissioned work for Christophe Coppens, European Cultural Foundation, Freek de Jonge, Hollands Next Topmodel, Human, Ireen van Ditshuyzen, KPN Research, NPS, Royal Philips Electronics, Schorer, Submarine, VPRO, Wilfried de Jong.

As a vj he has performed at Amsterdam Dance Event, Amsterdam Roots Festival, Christopher Street Day Cologne, club 11, club Church, club RoXY, Netherlands Film Fund, Furball, Get Ruff Leatherpride, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Lovedance, Mazzo, Melkweg, Paradiso, Putumayo World Music, Ragnarok Aarhus, Resfest, Roze Filmdagen, Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Supperclub, XXXLeather.

His recent video art has been exhibited at the Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, Kunstfort Asperen, Art Quake Kyoto, MirabanART Showcase Roma, ARCO Madrid Art Fair,Gallery Joey Ramone Rotterdam, Art Rotterdam, Galerie8 London.
